Go & Tell

Step 1: Pray

Prayer is a powerful tool in our Christian walk. In James 5:16, we are encouraged to pray for each other so that we may be healed. We can also pray for opportunities to share the gospel and for guidance from the Holy Spirit in our lives and the lives of those around us. The Holy Spirit is our helper, and when we pray, we invite Him to work in our lives and lead us in the right direction.

Step 2: Build Relationships

Discipleship is all about building relationships, just like Jesus did with his disciples. In John 15:12-13, Jesus tells us to love one another just as he has loved us. We can invest in the lives of others by being a support system for them, asking questions, listening, and being there for them in times of need. As we build relationships, we create a space for sharing the gospel and leading others closer to Jesus. We go together, not alone.

Step 3: Serve

Serving others is a crucial part of our Christian walk. In Philippians 2:3-4, we are encouraged to consider others better than ourselves and to look not only to our interests but also to the interests of others. We can serve others by volunteering in our community, playing our part in outreach, leading in generosity, and serving on a weekend team at our church. By serving others, we model servanthood like Jesus did, and we create a space for sharing the gospel and leading others closer to Him.

Step 4: Share

Sharing our faith with others is a significant part of the Great Commission. In Matthew 28:18, Jesus commands us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone. We can share our faith by starting conversations, inviting people to church or small group, and sharing our own stories of what Jesus has done in our lives. By doing so, we create a space for leading others closer to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith.
