Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Start the New Year with a powerful season of spiritual growth, renewal, and connection with God. Join us for 21 days of fasting and prayer from the first Sunday in January as we seek clarity, strength, and breakthrough.

What is fasting?

Fasting is a discipline to subdue our natural wants and desires in order to give God our full attention.

What is the purpose of fasting?

The purpose of fasting is that rather than gratifying our natural desires with the comforts of this world, we sacrifice that specific item. In its place we spend time praying, reading the Word, listening for Gods voice.

What should I fast?

What do we crave or make more important than time spent in Gods presence?
- Food  - Sugars - Soda/Alcohol - Social Media
- Television - Specific types of music

Resources:

"And when you fast, don't make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. 18 Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
